Verified: what the word means here, and what it does not
On a specification, verified means every value on the sheet appears on the maker's own published page word for word. A value we cannot find there is never published, even when we are fairly sure of it, and a person reviews a listing before it goes live. The last verified line says when that was.
On a business, verified is a different claim: the trade's papers have been seen and accepted by a person here. That is what unlocks the badge, your prices on vehicle pages, published stock, offers, unmasked buyer numbers and bidding.
What verified never means is that we inspected a particular vehicle, or that a dealer will treat you well, or that a price is a good one. It means a specific thing was checked against a specific source, and the page tells you which.
