When something breaks: errors, the request id and the status page
Errors come back with the status, a detail you can read, and a request id. Log the request id. It is the one thing that lets the desk find your exact call in our records instead of asking you to describe what happened.
The status page carries what is up and what is not, and it is the first place to look before writing to us, because an outage we already know about has a line on it with what we are doing.
When you do write, send the request id, the time and what you expected. That is usually enough for an answer on the first reply rather than the third.
