THE MANUAL19 PARIKSHA AND THE RIGHT TO SELL

M-196

The right to sell: how the seller holds the vehicle

Before you pay for a used vehicle, you want to know the seller can sell it. Every listing and every lot says how the seller holds it, in one plain line: sold by the registered owner; sold for the registered owner, with their authority; bought by the seller, transfer to their name pending; sold by an RTO-authorised dealer; repossessed and sold by the lender, or sold by the lessor when a lease ended; an unregistered machine held on its invoice; or sold under an insolvency or court order.

Under it, a second line says how that was checked and when: checked with the government's record, papers seen by Truckaurbus, the registered owner agreed, declared by the seller, an order read by Truckaurbus, or the seller's word. The seller's papers stay private; you see only what was checked, and when.

Use the Right to sell filter on the used pages to see only the kinds you want, say only registered owners. It is a line to read before you call, not a promise about the vehicle: still check the papers in your hand before you pay.
