Seeing the vehicle: inspection windows and tickets
Photographs and a grade are not the same as standing next to the vehicle, and for a lot worth lakhs they should not be. Most batches open an inspection window at the yard: a city, an address, a date range and slots of an hour or so, with a limit on how many people each slot can take.
A window runs one of two ways. Per-visitor tickets give each attendee their own ticket for a chosen slot, which suits a yard that must control the gate. One session code gives the whole window a single code that everyone quotes, which suits an open viewing day.
Book the slot before you travel. Take the lot number, your own eyes, and somebody who knows engines if you do not. What you see there beats what the grade says, and the grade will tell you the same thing.
